Abstract
Primary aldosteronism is a rare syndrome which may results from adenoma, hyperplasia, or carcinoma of the adrenal cortex and may thus amenable surgical correction.
The clinical features are caused by the metabolic effects of aldosterone and vary in their severity. The main findings of primary aldoseronism are hypertension, hypokalemia, hypokalemic alkalosis and hypokalemic nephropathy.
We experienced the two cases of primary aldosteronism due to adrenal adenoma. Adrenalectomy were performed under general anesthesia for each cases of the primary aldosteronism. The clinical symptoms of two cases of the primary aldosteronism disappeared after left adrenalectomy and right adrenalectomy respectively and subsequently laboratory findings of renin, aldosterone, electrolytes were normalized.
